Project Overview

This project focuses on enhancing night-time safety and everyday usability within a shared residential courtyard through carefully controlled exterior lighting. The lighting strategy supports daily circulation and communal activities while respecting the privacy of surrounding dwellings, creating a comfortable and secure environment after dark.
A restrained, layered approach was implemented to define façades, balconies, and circulation routes without excessive brightness. Lighting levels were calibrated to improve orientation and visual clarity across shared spaces, ensuring safe movement and spatial legibility while preserving a calm residential character.

Lighting Scope and Applications

The lighting scope includes selected exterior architectural zones and interior circulation areas, focusing on shared courtyards, façades, access points, and primary movement paths. The strategy addresses both outdoor and transitional spaces, ensuring safe navigation, clear spatial definition, and consistent visual comfort while maintaining a restrained residential character across the development.
